The fastest time to complete five kendama spike catches is 10.49 sec, and was achieved by Tomoki Kurashita (Japan) at WOODONE Kendama World Cup Hatsukaichi 2023, in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, Japan, on 30 July 2023.
Guinness World Records kendama challenge was held at the annual Kendama World Cup event. Tomoki ranked third at the preliminary round. Top three players from the preliminary round as well as two additional guest performers competed at the final round, and Tomoki beat the other players.
