The largest online video album of people reading aloud consists of 10,597 videos and was achieved by Qingdao Deqian Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. (China) in Qingdao, Shandong, China, on 5 May 2020.
To promote Chinese traditional culture, this attempt was organised to read "The Analects of Confucius", a collection of Confucius brief aphoristic fragments that was compiled many years after his death. The whole attempt lasted for 210 days, from 28 September 2019 and a total of 11,359 videos were submitted, with 762 disqualified for not following the guidelines.
