The most photos of people holding a mug uploaded to Facebook in one hour is 4,021 and was achieved by Guide Dogs (UK), on 21 April 2020.
The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is a charitable organisation which helps blind and partially sighted people across the UK through the provision of guide dogs and other services.
Each year the charity celebrates National Tea Day (April 21) as part of their fundraising efforts; however, following governmental advice on COVID-19, they were not able to run their regular event, so decided to launch the event online instead and attempt a Guinness World Records title!
The event raised over £21,000 and helped Guide Dogs to trend at #1 on Twitter.
