The tallest homegrown cactus (Cereus peruvians) measures 33.5 m (110 ft) and was grown at the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Dental Sciences (India), in Dharwad, Karnataka, India, as verified on 1 July 2015.
The cactus was planted on 15 August 2002 and is still growing.
