Largest Sampa dance

The Largest Sampa dance was achieved by 1,002 people in an event organised by Mariatu Kargbo Foundation (Sierra Leone) at the Shaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown, Sierra Leone on 25 April 2012. The purpose of the record attempt was to give children in Sierra Leone a chance to improve their futures by celebrating their national culture. Their aim was to bring joy to their nation and to the world through music and dance. The record was attempted on the country's National Day and raised charitable funds for projects supported by the Mariatu Kargbo Foundation.
