The largest serving of kayisi tatlisi weighed 342.7 kg (755 lb) and was achieved by the municipality of Malatya in Turkey on 5 July 2013. Kayisi Tatlisi is a famous traditional Turkish dessert. Apricots being filled with cream and adorned with chopped pistachios or walnuts. The city of Malaytya is famous for its apricots. The dessert was made by 50 volunteers under direction of Chef Bayram Özrek and served in a large vessel, which measured 3.53 m in diameter. The ingredients to make up the kayisi tatlisi consisted of: 80 kg (176 lb) sugar, 12 kg (26 lb) walnuts, 30 liters of water, 12 kg (26 lb) butter and 35 kg (77 lb) cream. The weight of the vessel in which it was served was subtracted from the total weight of 373.8 kg (824 lb), leaving the net weight at 342.7 kg (755 lb). Everything was distributed to more than 2,000 people at the event. Malatya Fair and Apricot Festivities has been held since 1978, every year in July, to promote Malatya and apricots and to convene the producers to meet one another.
