The Graf von Faber-Castell Perfect Pencil (Limited Edition) released in 2001 to celebrate the 240th anniversary of Faber-Castell cost €9,000 (£5,490; $7,080) apiece. This ultimate in writing luxury was made from 240-year-old olive wood, had an extender made from 18-carat white gold and three diamonds nestled under its lid.
