Developer Steve Howse’s addictive 2016 browser game Slither.io challenges players to grow their snake avatars by gobbling glowing dots and colliding with other gamers. Gamer “zergreenone” (AUS) achieved a size of 1000 mass in just 7.55 seconds, as uploaded to YouTube on 17 April 2016 and recorded the following day on Speedrun.com. “Totally a serious speedgame,” the record holder wrote. “But anyway, I had fun.”
