Most Australian Open Tennis titles won by a woman

The most Australian Open tennis titles is 21 by Margaret Court (née Smith) (b. July 16, 1942) who won the women's singles eleven times (1960–66, 1969–71 and 1973), the women's doubles eight times (1961-63, 1965, 1969-71 and 1973) and the mixed doubles twice (1963 and 1964). Margaret Court also reached two mixed doubles finals which were never contested. As a result she also holds two 'shared' mixed doubles titles, shared between the two couples who reached the finals in 1965 and 1969.
