Michael 'Wild Thing' Wilson (USA) of the Harlem Globetrotters successfully slam dunked a regulation basketball through a goal set at a height of 3.65 m (12 ft) on April 1, 2000.
The 6 ft 6 in Wilson attempted the new world record at halftime of the Ocean Spray NABC Roundball Challenge, Conseco Fieldhouse, Indiana infront of 8,286 fans.
