The most Superbike World Championship titles won by a rider is six, achieved by Kawasaki Racing Team's Jonathan Rea (UK) consecutively in 2015–20.
With his sixth consecutive championship, Rea surpassed compatriot Joey Dunlop’s five consecutive titles in Formula One (a World SBK forerunner) in 1982–86. Rea’s total of 99 career race wins is also a record.
