Most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton

The most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever found is "Sue", measuring 4 metres (13 feet) tall and 12.5 metres (41 feet) long and approximately 90% complete. The skeleton was found in South Dakota, USA, on 12 August 1990 by explorer Sue Hendrickson, after whom the dinosaur was later named.

Sue's remains also represent the most expensive dinosaur bones, with The Field Museum (USA) paying $8,362,500 (£5,104,377) for the skeleton at Sotheby's in New York City, USA, on 4 October 1997. They are on display at The Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois, USA, to this day.

Sue is also one of the largest T. rex specimens unearthed to date, though there are other contenders for this crown.
