The largest architectural projection-mapped display (permanent) measures 13,904.956 m² (149,671 ft² 101 in²) and was achieved by Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Projection Mapping Executive Committee (both Japan) in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, on 25 February 2024.

The show is called “Tokyo Night & Light” and it is expected to be a new tourist spot in Tokyo. The images are projected against the eastern façade of Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Main Building No.1, a tower 48 stories tall that splits into two sections at the 33rd floor, covering an area of roughly 127 meters in height and 110 meters in width from the building's fourth to 32nd floors. Shows will commence nightly and be displayed at half-hour intervals, lasting around 10 to 15 minutes each. The show mainly uses electricity generated by solar power.
