Largest display of origami sharks

The largest display of origami sharks consists of 12,479 sharks and was achieved by lyf Cebu City (Philippines) in Cebu, Philippines on 29 August 2024.

Ascott opened two branches in the Philippines, one in Cebu, and the other in Manila. The reason why they decided to attempt a GWR title was to not only celebrate the expansion of their new branches, but also to raise awareness of the fact that thresher sharks are experiencing a population decline in the area. Before the event, there was a presentation of the current situation of the local area, and there were quizzes to learn about sharks.
