Longest okonomiyaki

The longest okonomiyaki is 100.57 m (329 ft 11 in) and was achieved by Doronko Executive Committee (Japan) in Sanyo-Onoda, Yamaguchi, Japan on 5 May 2025.

Since 2012, the organiser has held an annual event on Children’s Day in a rice field in Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, challenging themselves to create Japan’s longest okonomiyaki. Starting at 40 metres in 2014, they extended the length each year, reaching 90 metres in 2019. A 100-metre attempt was planned for 2020 but was cancelled due to the pandemic. In 2025, they finally attempted an official Guinness World Records title and successfully created an okonomiyaki over 100 metres long, with around 500 participants working together to make a 120 kg okonomiyaki.
