Shinjuku Station is located on the boundary between the Shinjuku and Shibuya wards, which together cover most of the busiest parts of downtown Tokyo. It serves several different train and subway operating companies, including JR East (Japan Railways), Keio Corporation, Odakyu Electric Railway, Toei Subway and Tokyo Metro.
