Born on 2 March 1911, Anthony Mancinelli (USA, b. Antonio Mancinelli in Italy) remains an active professional barber at Fantastic Cuts in New Windsor, New York, USA, where he still works full time, cutting hair five days a week from noon to 8 p.m, aged 107 years 220 days as of 8 October 2018.
Mr Mancinelli was born in Montemilone, Potenza, Italy, and, aged eight, boarded the SS Caserta to the United States with his family, arriving in New York on 12 September 1919. His father supported a wife and eight children on $25 a week as a felt worker, so Anthony went to work in barbershops when he was just 11. By 1923, aged 12, Anthony was cutting hair full time, and he still does so: he is healthy and has no immediate plans to retire.
