The most Emmy Award wins for a comic book inspired series is 11, and was achieved by Watchmen (HBO, USA) at the 72nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, on 20 September 2020.
Watchmen is inspired by the 1986 DC Comic series of the same name created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The series, created by Damon Lindelof, is a "sequel " to the comic that follows racist violence in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2019.
