The longest dragon boat is 87.3 m (286 ft 5 in) and was achieved by Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, Prey Veng and Prey Veng Provincial Administration (all Cambodia), in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia, on 12 November 2018.
The dragon boat was used in olden times to defend territory and kingdoms and the attempt was made to preserve the ancient culture of dragon boat production.The dragon boat is human-powered and this one holds 179 oarsmen. At its mid-point the width across the boat measures 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) with a depth of 83 cm (2 ft 8 in). The weight of the dragon boat was estimated to be 12,102 kg (26,680 lb 5 oz).
