The loudest bark by a dog measured 113.1 dB and was produced by golden retriever Charlie, owned by Belinda Freebairn (Australia) during the Purina Bark in the Park event in Rymill Park, Adelaide, Australia, on 20 October 2012. Charlie first took part in the loudest bark by a group of dogs during the event, during which his ability to bark very loudly was noticed.
