Fastest time to slice a cucumber

Norman Johnson of Blackpool College, Lancashire, UK set a record of 13.4 sec for slicing a 30.5-cm (12-in) cucumber, 3.8 cm (18 in) in diameter, at 22 slices to the inch (total 264 slices) at the studios of Westdeutsche Rundfunk in Cologne, Germany on 3 April 1983.
