The film was constructed in one continuous, large piece and was presented during the LED professional Symposium +Expo 2016 in Bregenz, Austria, on 20 September 2016.
An electroluminescent film is a thin, flexible film constructed from semiconducting and dielectric materials, which emits light when a particular potential difference is applied. They are being explored as materials for flexible displays, or light-emitting posters.
