The tallest maypole measured 57.08 m (187 ft 3 in) and was erected by the town of Eicherloh, in Eicherloh, Germany on 1 May 2010.
The pole was painted blue and white and decorated with colourful ribbons, flowers and carved figures. A traditional dance, the “Maibaum Tanz", took place around the maypole.
